TEMPORARY FACILITIES <br /> 015000 - 3 <br /> 3.4. Temporary Lighting: Provide general service incandescent lamps of wattage <br /> required for adequate illumination. Protect lamps with guard cages or tempered glass <br /> enclosures, where exposed to breakage. Provide exterior type fixtures where <br /> exposed to weather or moisture. Provide local switching to allow lights to be turned <br /> off in patterns to conserve energy. <br /> 1. Provide one 200-watt incandescent lamp per 1000 square feet of floor area for <br /> general construction lighting, one 100-watt incandescent lamp every 50 feet <br /> in corridors, and one lamp per story, located to illuminate each landing and <br /> flight in stairways. <br /> 2. Install temporary lighting to fulfill security and protection requirements, <br /> without having to operate the entire temporary lighting system. <br /> 3.5. Temporary Telephones: Install telephone and fax machine for each temporary office <br /> (including that used by the Architect/Owner's Representative) and first aid station; <br /> pay all monthly service charges. Post a list of operational and emergency telephone <br /> numbers at a prominent location. <br /> 3.6 Storm Drainage: Provide drainage ditches, sedimentation ponds, etc. as shown on <br /> the Drawings and as required to control surface water runoff during construction. <br /> 1. Maintain temporary drainage facilities in a clean, sanitary condition, ready for <br /> maximum use. Following heavy usage,restore normal conditions promptly. <br /> 2. Construction activities will require phasing of temporary <br /> erosion/sedimentation control plans (See Drawings). <br /> 4. TEMPORARY SUPPORT FACILITIES <br /> 4.1. General: Provide a neat and uniform appearance in temporary construction and <br /> support facilities acceptable to the Architect/Engineer and the Owner. <br /> 1. Locate field offices, storage and fabrication sheds and other support facilities <br /> for easy access to the Work. Position offices so that windows give the best <br /> possible view of construction activities. <br /> 2. Make the change-over to use of permanent services and facilities at the <br /> earliest feasible date to minimize hazards and interferences with performance <br /> of work. <br /> 3. Maintain field offices, storage and fabrication sheds, temporary sanitary <br /> facilities, waste collection and disposal systems, and project identification <br /> and temporary signs until near Substantial Completion. Immediately prior to <br /> Substantial Completion remove these facilities. Personnel remaining at the <br /> site after Substantial Completion will be permitted to use permanent <br /> facilities, under restricted use conditions. <br /> 02/19/13 <br />
