Fire was reportedly caused by a ceiling hung gas fired unit heater located within the
Pottery Studio.
FIRE/SMOKE DAMAGE
Following removal of interior ceiling finishes, observation revealed minor smoke
damage only to the roof joists and perpendicular roof joist support beam located in the
vicinity of the unit heater. Gypsum drywall has been removed from interior walls of the
Electric Kiln Area, Pottery Studio and adjoining hallway due to smoke damage.
Additionally, exterior windows and door of the Pottery Studio received smoke damage.
The window and door frames will be cleaned and reused. All other rooms and areas of
the space appear to be undamaged.
Minor fire char damage was noted to the upper most portion of the 6x6 post providing
support for the perpendicular beam. The post will be replaced in like kind per plan. No
other fire char damage was reported or observed.
SOUND INVESTIGATIVE ENGINEERS, LLC
1802 "A"Street SE,#223
Auburn, WA 98002
(206) 621-1686
