Alp <br /> J <br /> .4g.40 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6649 <br /> A Resolution granting a variance related to a driveway at 512 <br /> Wetmore Avenue. <br /> WHEREAS,the homeowner of 512 Wetmore Avenue applied for a public works permit to <br /> relocate and expand the existing driveway off of Wetmore Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 13.16 of the Everett Municipal Code, as currently written, directed City <br /> Staff to deny permit application PW1307-01, but allows the City Council to grant a variance; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff recommend that the City Council grant the 512 Wetmore Avenue <br /> homeowner a variance because the modification does not present significant safety concerns and <br /> is consistent with the character of the surrounding neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council heard the homeowner's request for a variance and determined that <br /> such a variance would be proper and meets the requirements of EMC 13.16.110; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> Section 1. Findings of Fact <br /> The "Whereas"provisions above shall constitute Findings of Fact and are incorporated by <br /> reference as if fully set forth herein. <br /> Section 2. Variance <br /> The City Council grants a variance from EMC 13.16.050(F) and directs Public Works to approve <br /> the original permit application(PW1307-01) for relocation and expansion of the driveway at 512 <br /> Wetmore Avenue, provided that the permit application and resulting work otherwise comply <br /> with state and local regulations. <br /> -.5601 (1 - <br /> Councilmember Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 21 day of August, 2013. <br /> '/� <br /> Jeff Moore, Council President <br /> Page 1of1 <br />
