EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Project: South Precinct Roof Replacement Project <br /> Location: 1121 SE Everett Mall Way <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The scope of work is for preliminary design, construction documents, permitting, bidding and <br /> construction period services associated with a reroof of the existing Everett Police South Precinct <br /> building located at 1121 SE Everett Mall Way in Everett, Washington. 2812 Architecture services for this <br /> project include preparation of a preliminary design, permitting and construction documents for the <br /> reroof. 2812 Architecture will coordinate with both structural and mechanical engineers to provide <br /> sizing and support for future HVAC units associated with a space of approximately 5,000 SF within the <br /> building that will be developed at a later date. Assistance with bidding and construction administration <br /> is also included. The scope of services and fees listed below outline the work necessary to complete the <br /> tasks as outlined above. <br /> The Scope of Work shall include the following demolition and construction items: <br /> 1. Demolition of the existing steel roof structure and concrete plinths. <br /> 2. Demolition of the decommissioned HVAC equipment. <br /> 3. Demolition of the existing future column anchor bolts, associated wood framing and roof <br /> flashing. <br /> 4. Patching and repairs to the existing vapor barrier as required. <br /> 5. Adjustments to existing equipment curbs as required. <br /> 6. Adjustments to existing electrical conduits, gas lines, equipment piping, antenna cables and <br /> rooftop grounding system as required. <br /> 7. Overflow roof drains or scuppers. <br /> 8. Rigid roof insulation. <br /> 9. Roof membrane. <br /> 10. Walk pads as required to access equipment. <br /> SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES <br /> PRELIMINARY DESIGN: <br /> 2812 Architecture will prepare a preliminary roof plan that will convey the work associated with the <br /> reroof. 2812 Architecture will coordinate the future HVAC sizing and structural needs as required to <br /> provide support for HVAC units associated with the future tenant improvements. 2812 Architecture will <br /> with the City to discuss the preliminary plan and make necessary revisions as required. <br /> PERMIT and CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS: <br /> 2812 Architecture will prepare and coordinate the construction documents as required to obtain a <br /> building permit from the City of Everett—Building Department.This work will include correspondence <br /> with city during the building permit process. <br /> BIDDING and CONSTRUCTION PERIOD SERVICES: <br /> Bidding and construction period services by 2812 Architecture are intended to be kept to a minimum. <br /> 2812 Architecture will work with the City's Project Manager to put together bid documents (including <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
