PUBLIC WORKS
Sheet 21
vi. Site specific information for the MWS unit must be provided on the MWS detail, in
both the civil plans and in the report.
c. Report
Water Quality Analysis and Design:
i. It appears that I was wrong regarding my statement that enhanced treatment would
be required for this project. Because the 2014 SWMMWW doesn't require enhanced
treatment, I am more than happy to be found wrong! So,please don't provide
enhanced treatment for the project just because I said so in an earlier email, before I
had a chance to thoroughly evaluate the proposal...
ii. Per the GULD for the MWS unit, please provide proof that the following condition
of use has been met: "2. Each site plan must undergo Modular Wetland Systems,
Inc. review and approval before site installation."
Section 7, Operations and Maintenance:
iii. With the City's 1/1/2017 update of the stormwater standards came an updated
emphasis on MR 9. Per the 2014 SWMMWW—and the City's NPDES Permit—the
City is required to require compliance with the following:
2.5.9 Minimum Requirement#9: Operation and Maintenance
An operation and maintenance manual that is consistent with the
provisions in Volume V shall be provided for proposed stormwater
facilities and BMPs, and the party (or parties) responsible for
maintenance and operation shall be identified. At private facilities, a
copy of the operation and maintenance manual shall be retained on-
site or within reasonable access to the site, and shall be transferred
with the property to the new owner. For public facilities, a copy of the
operation and maintenance manual shall be retained in the
appropriate department. A log of maintenance activity that indicates
what actions were taken shall be kept and be available for inspection
by the local government.
iv. Please expand Section 7 to indicate compliance with the updated language for MR9.
WWHM2012 results:
v. And an FYI—for future reference the next time you submit a project for City of
Everett approval, please update the version of the WWHM2012 you are using. I ran
the calcs myself to be sure that no subsequent revisions were made after 5/26/2015
that affect the runoff treatment flow rate for this particular site, but Ecology has
Page 3 of 4
