CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> DIVISION 1 — GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> ' Supplement Division 1 by adding the following: <br /> General Description and Location of Project <br /> Work being performed includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to <br /> furnish approximately 1,070 feet new 12-in diameter and approximately 4.200 feet of 8-inch <br /> diameter new ductile iron pipe and appurtenances, miscellaneous shoulder stabilization <br /> and grading work, and other such appurtenances and performing all Work as required by <br /> the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and Contract Provisions. <br /> ' The Project is in Everett, Washington, and is generally located along Colby Avenue <br /> between Pacific Avenue and 37th Street, along W Mukilteo Boulevard between Seahurst <br /> Avenue and Glenhaven Drive and just west of the intersection of W Mukilteo Boulevard and <br /> Narbeck Drive. <br /> ' Design Engineer <br /> (******) <br /> Questions and inquiries about these Contract Documents should be directed in writing to <br /> the attention of Richard Hefti, PE, City Project Manager, rhefti@everettwa.gov. <br /> Standard Specifications <br /> ' (******) <br /> All Work under this Contract shall be performed in accordance with the following <br /> ' Specifications except as may be exempted or modified by other sections of these Contract <br /> Documents. These Specifications are incorporated by reference, made a part of this <br /> Contract and shall control and guide all activities within this Project whether referred to <br /> directly, paragraph by paragraph. <br /> WSDOT/APWA "2018 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal <br /> Construction", as amended by the APWA Supplements, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "Standard Specifications." <br /> ' The Standard Specifications, as modified or supplemented by the Amendments to the <br /> Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions, all of which are made a part of the <br /> Contract Documents, shall govern all of the Work. The following latest edition of other <br /> specifications and standard plans shall apply to the extent to which they are called out in <br /> these Plans and Special Provisions. <br /> 1. City of Everett "Design and Construction Standards and Specifications", latest <br /> edition as found on the Web at "http://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenterNiew/243." <br /> 2. "Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction", as prepared by WSDOT. <br /> 3. "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)." <br /> 4. APWA Standards. <br /> 5. AWWA Standards. <br /> Each Provision of these Special Provisions either supplements, modifies, or replaces the <br /> comparable Standard Specification, or is a new Provision.
