City of Everett 01 1200 - 1 111 Evergreen Branch Library Expansion 2017-008 SECTION 01 1200 - MULTIPLE CONTRACT SUMMARY I PART 1 - GENERAL 1 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS IA. The Contract Documents, Drawings and Specifications apply to this Section. I1.2 SUMMARY A. The owner has hired Artists to perform work on the owners' behalf. This section includes I a summary of the Artists' contracts for the described work including responsibilities and coordination between Contractor and Artists. B. Work to construct hanging art sculpture, placement of the artwork be completed by an I Artist under a separate contract with the City. The contractor is required to assist the Artist during the construction of the hanging art as specified below. I C. Removal and installation of the artwork provided by the artist under a separate contract with the City. The Contractor is required to assist the Artist during the removal and/or installation. 1.3 DEFINITIONS I A. Definitions used in this paragraph are not intended to negate the meaning of other terms used in the contract documents. IB. "Artist" is a person performing work on behalf of the owner under a separate contract. C. "Contractor" is the Contractor awarded the contract for the described work. I1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE I A. During the construction of the hanging art artwork, an inspection shall take place after each major task (phase) has been completed. Inspections shall be conducted by representatives of the following parties: I 1. Owner 2. Artist 3. Contractor I B. Upon completion of each major task, the party responsible for the work shall call a meeting to inspect the completed work. I C. No inspection is complete unless all parties have signed and approved the work.
