1 <br /> City of Everett 01 1200 - 2 <br /> Evergreen Branch Library Expansion 2017-008 <br /> D. All equipment used to hang the art shall be provided by the contractor. This includes all <br /> fasteners and accessories required to secure the artwork in place. Equipment shall be <br /> stored in a protective box. I <br /> E. The representative shall pay extra attention to the components installed by the <br /> subcontractors working under the Contractor. If component(s) become loose or 111separated from their installed location, the representative will re-fasten the components <br /> immediately so the placement of the artwork can continue with little disruption. <br /> 1.5 PRODUCT DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> A. The Artist is responsible for the delivery of all materials used to construct and fabricate , <br /> and assemble hanging artwork. <br /> B. The Artist is responsible for the safe keeping and security of the delivered materials. If <br /> materials are weather sensitive, the Artist shall provide for dry storage of sensitive <br /> materials. <br /> C. The Contractor shall provide a separate space to be used by the Artist to store materials. ' <br /> All materials used shall be stored in accordance with the Section related to the materials. <br /> 1.6 ARTIST'S SCOPE <br /> A. Artwork <br /> 1 . The Artist shall submit to the owner a schedule listing the tasks (major) that are <br /> required to be performed to construct the selected art piece. The schedule will <br /> also include a schedule showing when these tasks are expected to be completed. <br /> 2. The Artist is responsible to provide all materials, labor and equipment used to <br /> construct and assemble in place. <br /> 3. The Artist shall provide all required drawings for the construction of the artwork <br /> including structural and engineered drawings. <br /> 4. The Artist shall include in the drawings, plans and details to construct the formwork <br /> and to support the formwork required to securely support and hold into place. <br /> 5. A Reinforcement Schedule shall be included in the drawings. This schedule shall <br /> include the type of fasteners, number of anchor points and details showing how <br /> the artwork will be integrated into the building structure, clearances and placement. <br /> 6. Details showing the connection of the fasteners shall be included in the drawings. <br /> 7. The Artist is responsible to have fabricated, correct placement and installation of <br /> the artwork. <br /> 8. The Artist is responsible for the placement and finishing of the artwork. <br /> 9. The Artist is responsible to apply any curing sealants, water proofing materials or ' <br /> any other items required to be installed to protect and to ensure longevity of the <br /> artwork. <br /> 10. The Artist shall also provide a template showing the location within the facility. This <br /> template shall be made available to the Contractor upon request by the Contractor. <br /> B. SCULPTURE <br /> 1. The Artist is responsible to ensure the safety of the sculpture. <br /> 2.
