Please review and
respond to the comments below.
In order for the processing of your application to continue,it will be necessary to provide the
Building Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections
requested. Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved.
General
1. The building was in the process of a substantial remodel without required permits when
the stop work order was issued. The plans show many walls as'existing'that are new or
substantially altered. R106.1.1
2. Work begun without required. permits includes electrical, plumbing and building
modifications — much of which has been covered by wallboard. In order for
inspections/approvals to occur, wallboard will need to be removed to expose all wiring,
plumbing and framing that has not been previously inspected and approved. R109.4
3. Snohomish County records list the structure as having 1 and 1/2 baths. The structure
now has 3 1/2 baths. The permit will be revised to include the additional plumbing
fixtures. All fixtures will be inspected and approval will be required. R105.1
4. The heat pump has no permit record. The location of the pump should be shown on the
site plan and is subject to Land Use approval. The permit will include inspection and
approval of the pump. R105.1
5. The existing interior and exterior walls along building lines C, D & 3 appear to have
been altered significantly/completely or removed. As the bracing system has been
altered/removed along those lines, the lateral design should be shown to comply with
the current code requirements of the IRC.
6. The plans should show the locations of required smoke alarms and that they will be
hardwired, interconnected and provided with battery backup. R314
7. The plans should show the locations of required carbon monoxide alarms and that they
will be hardwired with battery backup. R315
