The Boeing Company has reviewed the paint process as performed in the 45-03 building, and using a combination of CFD analysis and previous test data determined the proposed alternative design meets Boeing standards for employee protection, complies with the intent of code, and offers an equivalent or greater level of safety as that prescribed by code. The attached letter summarizes the Boeing review process. The attached drawings describe Boeings recommended hazardous area boundaries based on this review. The CFD analysis is available upon request, but must remain Boeing proprietary information —The cover letter, table contents, and summary for the CFD report are attached to facilitate a request for review.
