'tf • • (± (', ', 1 ORDINANCE NO. 75/ 2 AN ORDINANCE establishing the non-salary items 3 of compensation granted the Appointive Officers and Elected Officials of the City of Everett and 4 repealing Resolution No. 899 . A 5 WHEREAS , it is in the best interest of the City to provide 6 to all Appointive Officers non-salary items of compensation, 7 commonly referred to as fringe benefits, which are at least comparable to those provided by private industry, other govern- 8 mental jurisdictions, and those provided to City employees repre- 9 sented by labor organizations; and 10 WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to grant certain items of non-salary compensation to the Elected Officials 11 of the City of Everett, 12 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : Appointive Officers : 13 A. The work week for all Appointive Officers of the City 14 shall be established by the Mayor in accordance with what he deems necessary and appropriate for efficient 15 functioning of the City Government. Appointive Officers shall in no instance be accorded premium pay for the 16 following: Overtime, longevity, call back, or if nec- essary, for working on a holiday designated in this 17 ordinance. 18 B. The City shall provide an insurance plan for all Appointive Officers comprised of the following: 19 1. Basic medical and major medical coverage for the 20 officer and his dependents. 21 2 . Major dental coverage for the officer and his dependents. 22 3 . $2, 000. 00 life insurance for the officer . 23 Dependents may be covered at the officer ' s option and expense. 24 4 . Life insurance at an amount equal to twice the 25 officer ' s annual salary, plus adjusted payments for loss of limbs. 26 5. Long term disability insurance providing for pay- 27 ment of an amount equal to 2/3rds of the officer ' s annual salary, not to exceed $1,888 . 00 monthly, 28 until age 65. 29 6.
