'tf <br /> • <br /> • <br /> (± (', ', <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. 75/ <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE establishing the non-salary items <br /> 3 of compensation granted the Appointive Officers <br /> and Elected Officials of the City of Everett and <br /> 4 repealing Resolution No. 899 . <br /> A <br /> 5 WHEREAS , it is in the best interest of the City to provide <br /> 6 to all Appointive Officers non-salary items of compensation, <br /> 7 commonly referred to as fringe benefits, which are at least <br /> comparable to those provided by private industry, other govern- <br /> 8 mental jurisdictions, and those provided to City employees repre- <br /> 9 sented by labor organizations; and <br /> 10 WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to grant <br /> certain items of non-salary compensation to the Elected Officials <br /> 11 of the City of Everett, <br /> 12 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : Appointive Officers : <br /> 13 <br /> A. The work week for all Appointive Officers of the City <br /> 14 shall be established by the Mayor in accordance with <br /> what he deems necessary and appropriate for efficient <br /> 15 functioning of the City Government. Appointive Officers <br /> shall in no instance be accorded premium pay for the <br /> 16 following: Overtime, longevity, call back, or if nec- <br /> essary, for working on a holiday designated in this <br /> 17 ordinance. <br /> 18 B. The City shall provide an insurance plan for all <br /> Appointive Officers comprised of the following: <br /> 19 <br /> 1. Basic medical and major medical coverage for the <br /> 20 officer and his dependents. <br /> 21 2 . Major dental coverage for the officer and his <br /> dependents. <br /> 22 <br /> 3 . $2, 000. 00 life insurance for the officer . <br /> 23 Dependents may be covered at the officer ' s option <br /> and expense. <br /> 24 <br /> 4 . Life insurance at an amount equal to twice the <br /> 25 officer ' s annual salary, plus adjusted payments <br /> for loss of limbs. <br /> 26 <br /> 5. Long term disability insurance providing for pay- <br /> 27 ment of an amount equal to 2/3rds of the officer ' s <br /> annual salary, not to exceed $1,888 . 00 monthly, <br /> 28 until age 65. <br /> 29 6.
