• E. The City shall grant Appointive Officers leave of absence with pay for the following reasons : 1 1. Sick leave. Upon employment with the City, Appointive 2 Officers shall have available immediately ten (10) days of sick leave with pay. All Appointive Employees 3 shall accrue sick leave at a rate of two (2) days per month to a total maximum of one hundred-twenty (120) 4 days. While still actively employed with the City of Everett, should any monthly disability payment be 5 made to the Appointive Officer as a benefit resulting from any insurance ceverage provided by the City, the 6 City shall only pay the difference between the amount of the benefit and the Appointive Officer ' s normal 7 monthly salary. In no case shall such sick leave payment exceed one hundred-twenty (120) work days at 8 eight (8) hours per day. 9 2 . Funeral Leave. When approved by the Mayor, Appointive Officers shall be granted reasonably necessary time 10 off with pay to assist with funeral arrangements and to attend funeral services. 11 Section 2 : City Council : 12 A. Members of the City Council of the City of Everett who 13 request coverage under the City' s medical insurance plan shall be granted such coverage to be comprised of the 14 following: 15 1. Basic medical and major medical coverage for the Councilman and his dependents. 16 2. Major dental coverage for the Councilman and his de- 17 pendents. 18 Section 3 : Mayor: 19 A. The Mayor of the City of Everett shall be granted all items of non-salary compensation granted to Appointive Officers 20 as specified in Section 1 hereinabove. 21 Section 4 : Repealing: 22 A.
