Please note <br /> that all exterior modifications to the existing building may be considered "cosmetic." <br /> ADA compliance elements included in this remodel meet the 20 percent adjusted construction cost of <br /> alterations threshold and have been incorporated to the greatest extent possible without creating an <br /> unreasonable hardship to the franchisee.The cost of full ADA accessibility compliance would exceed the <br /> 20 percent threshold as defined by the 2010 American Disability Act. <br /> In choosing which accessible elements to provide, priority has been given to those elements which do not <br /> exceed the 20%cost threshold and that will provide the greatest access: <br /> 1.ADA Accessible Furniture; <br /> 2.Accessible service counter&drink station; <br /> 3.At least one accessible restroom for each sex or a single accessible unisex restroom; <br /> 4.Accessible telephones; <br /> 5.Accessible drinking fountains;and <br /> 6.When possible,additional accessible elements such as signs, storage and <br /> alarms. <br /> Lastly, please note that the Total Cost of Construction as originally submitted at application, and not the <br /> Total Cost of Alterations Affecting ADA as submitted herein, includes both the proposed cost of ADA <br /> upgrades and omitted costs from the Adjusted Construction Cost. <br /> Thank you very much for your assistance.
