1 <br /> IOverhead shall not include any cost directly attributable to a particular project. If a cost can be traced to a <br /> particular Contract, the Contractor may not classify the cost as Overhead. <br /> I Indirect or home office costs that vary substantially with the amount of work performed shall not be <br /> included in the group of costs comprising Overhead. <br /> Overhead shall not include any costs specifically disallowed by Federal Acquisition Regulations, Subpart <br /> I 31.2—Contracts with Commercial Organizations, or its successor. Further, "Overhead"shall not include <br /> the costs of any"field support services"that are more closely direct costs in nature, regardless of the <br /> manner in which the Contractor normally accounts for such costs. An example of such disallowed cost <br /> would be for material handling and expediting, which are costs incurred for the direct support and benefit <br /> I of any specific project(s). <br /> In addition to compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Subpart 31.2 examples of specific costs <br /> not allowed in a calculation under this Section of the Contract are Incentive Compensation paid to <br /> I personnel classified as Overhead and otherwise includable under this Section of Contract, travel and <br /> business meetings, employer paid benefits and taxes on direct payroll costs of any project, insurance <br /> costs directly identifiable to any specific project, penalties, any costs incurred regarding company owned <br /> equipment normally classified as a direct project costs, etc. <br /> IRCW: Means the Revised Code of Washington. <br /> Schedule of Values: Allocation of Contract Sum to items of Work as provided in section 9.1.1. <br /> I Schedule of Values. <br /> Shall: Required conduct. <br /> Shop Drawings: All drawings, diagrams, illustrations, schedules, and other data or information which are <br /> specifically prepared or assembled by or for Contractor and submitted by Contractor to illustrate some <br /> portion of the Work. <br /> Shown: Refers to information presented on the drawings, with or without reference to the drawings. <br /> Specifications: That part of the Contract Documents consisting of written descriptions of the technical <br /> 111/ features of materials, Equipment, construction systems, standards, and workmanship. <br /> Specify: Refers to information described, shown, noted or presented in any manner in any part of the <br /> 1 Contract Documents. <br /> Submittals: The information required by the Contract Documents provided by Contractor to the Owner's <br /> Representative or Owner. <br /> ISubstantial Completion: The day on which the Owner or Owner's Representative determines the <br /> Owner has full and unrestricted use and benefit of the Project, from both the operational and safety <br /> standpoints and only minor incidental Work, replacement of temporary substitute facilities, or minor <br /> I correction or repair Work remains. Determination of Substantial Completion in whole or in part is solely at <br /> the discretion of the Owner. Substantial Completion does not mean complete in accordance with the <br /> Contract nor shall Substantial Completion of all or any part of the Project entitle the Contractor to Final <br /> I Acceptance under the Contract. <br /> Total Float: The amount of time any given activity or path of activities may be delayed before it will affect <br /> the Completion Date. <br /> I Unabsorbed Overhead: The reduction or loss of contribution to recovery of the Contractor's Overhead <br /> costs realized by the result of reduced Project and/or Contractor billings due to any reason whatsoever, <br /> including a Project Extension. <br /> I Unit Price Work: Refers to items of Work identified by unit prices in the bid or proposal form. <br /> Work: Refers to the Project and the labor, materials, Equipment, supplies, services, and other items <br /> necessary for the execution, completion and fulfillment of the Contract. <br /> I <br /> IEVERETT RIVERFRONT SURCHARGE GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> PHASE 3 <br /> 00710-3 <br />
