j— Everett Police Department
Code Enforcement Unit
December 1, 2017 CASE #CE17-1294
Property Owner
Joseph M Fisk
7425 McDougall Avenue
Everett, WA. 98203-5466
Responsible Party
Same as above
Notice provided to:
Same .
RE: 7425 McDougall Avenue Everett,WA 98203-5466
NOTICE OF CONDEMNATION
Greetings,
On December 1, 2017, an inspection of the property was performed by the City of Everett
Building Department. The inspection revealed the residential structure is without approved
electrical service. Electrical Inspector Steve Banks had been called to inspect installation of a
new electrical panel but found it was installed in a non-compliant manner, that extension cords
were being used in place of permanent wiring to energize one or more external outlets on a
detached accessory structure, and the overhead electrical service strike was in contact with a
roof structure between the power pole and the electrical mast. A generator was in use at the
property though it may not be used to energize a structure. These conditions violate Section
108 of the International Property Maintenance Code as adopted by the City of Everett (the
"IPMC"). Due to these conditions all structures on the property referenced above are
unlawful, are unfit for human habitation and contain unsafe equipment pursuant to
Section 108.1,4, 108.1.3, and 108.1.2 of the IPMC. The relevant provisions of the IPMC are
included as Appendix A to this Notice.
Pursuant Section 108 of the IPMC the City will condemn the entire structures on this property
on December 1, 2017. The structures will remain condemned until the conditions violating
Section 108 of the IPMC are lawfully abated in their entirety. Lawfully abating the violations
includes, but is not limited to, obtaining any necessary building permits, final inspections, and
approval for occupancy from the Building Division.
The entire structures must be vacated no later than Monday December 4, 2017 at 1
p.m., if you have not complied with this Notice of Condemnation, including obtaining approval
for occupancy from the Building Division.
Everett Police Department,Code Enforcement Unit•3002 Wetmore Ave•Everett,WA 98201 •425-257-8560
