January 23, 2019 <br /> Theatre for the management of the Everett Performing Art Center <br /> through December 31, 2025, in the amount of $150,000 for the first <br /> year, with annual CPI adjustments based on the Consumer Price <br /> Index. <br /> Council Member Murphy thanked staff for working on the contract. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher requested that staff provide a brief cost <br /> savings clarification contained in the contract. <br /> Kimberly Shelton, Parks, provided clarification on the net savings and <br /> incentives for community groups to use the Everett Performing Arts Center. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> GRANT AWARDS — CULTURAL ARTS CAPITAL AND PROGRAMMING <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Moore, to approve the 2019 Cultural Arts Capital and Programming <br /> Grant Awards as designated, in an amount not to exceed $40,000. <br /> Council Member Tuohy recused herself from the discussion on this item. <br /> She stated that because her employer is a potential recipient of the grant <br /> and although she has a fixed salary, which is unrelated to any grant award, <br /> she is recusing herself to avoid any appearance of conflict. <br /> Council Member Tuohy left council chambers at 1:21 p.m. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher stated she appreciated the broad spectrum of <br /> award recipients. <br /> Council Member Murphy thanked the Cultural Arts Commission. <br /> 32 <br />
