January 30, 2019 <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> At the invitation of Chief of Staff Lyle Ryan, Fire Chief Demarco provided an <br /> update on the temporary closure and subsequent major maintenance of Fire <br /> Station 2. He provided a scope of work, which will include gender-neutral <br /> restrooms and female accommodations, as well as potential impacts to <br /> response times. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session, anticipated to last no <br /> longer than 10 minutes, concerning a legal matter pursuant to <br /> RCW 42.30.110(1)(i)(3) with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Elizabeth Coelho, Lake Stevens, spoke about an anonymous memo sent to <br /> Mayor Franklin that contained recommendations for the gang reduction <br /> directive. <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Voter Approved Snohomish County Proposition 1, a Sales Tax <br /> Increase of One-Tenth of One Percent to be used for Emergency <br /> Communication Systems and Facilities. <br /> Presented by Snohomish County staff: Susan Neely, <br /> Nathan Kennedy, and Brian Haseleu <br /> Discussion ensued about details of the Interlocal Agreement between <br /> Snohomish County and Snohomish County 911. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher requested the Council be provided the full- <br /> scale financial aspects of the project to ensure there is no over collection of <br /> the tax. <br /> 38 <br />
