January 30, 2019 <br /> Vice President Tuohy provided an update on the districting process, and <br /> she distributed the final draft version of the Districting Commission <br /> application form to council members across the dais. She stated a final <br /> version and timeline should be available on the city website in <br /> approximately one week. Vice President Tuohy encouraged citizens to sign <br /> up. <br /> To ensure timely publication on the website, Mayor Franklin asked council <br /> members to submit changes by the end of the week. <br /> President Bader asked Council Member Roberts to introduce the following <br /> proposed resolution. <br /> RESOLUTION — DECLARING EMERGENCY REGARDING WFP BACK <br /> UP POWER GENERATION EQUIPMENT <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Moore, to adopt Resolution No. 7333 declaring an emergency pursuant <br /> to RCW 39.04.280, and Section 9 of the City's Purchasing Guidelines, <br /> authorizing the Public Works Department to secure emergency <br /> generation capacity that will support the Water Filtration Plant <br /> temporary backup power generation equipment. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member <br /> Murphy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated for the record that a failure of systems <br /> occurred during the January 9, 2019, windstorm; therefore, the need to <br /> move expeditiously is critical. <br /> President Bader reported on his first meeting attendance of the Animal <br /> Shelter Advisory Committee. He announced that the Budget Subcommittee <br /> is scheduled to meet next Wednesday, February 6, at 5:30 p.m. President <br /> Bader also mentioned that the question "What is Everett?" was featured on <br /> Monday's television episode of Jeopardy. <br /> 37 <br />
