Project address, 3305 Norton Ave <br /> Dear Mr. Miller, <br /> In response to the correction letter emailed September 18, 2014: <br /> 1. Lateral calculations call for shearwall with 5/8"diameter anchor bolts at 48"OC in <br /> a concrete foundation. Please provide foundation plan that includes existing and new <br /> construction. The foundation must be capable of transferring vertical and lateral <br /> loads from the framed structure to the earth. The minimum frost depth in Everett is 18 <br /> inches. Please see letter and calculations from licensed WA State Engineer, Tom <br /> Pitzer; sheet 7 and sheet S-2.1. <br /> 2. Whole house fan size and location is required to be specified on the plans. Do not <br /> simply reference the code section. See sheet 1, Ventilation Notes and plan. <br /> 3. Stair detail/section shall provide sufficient information to construct stairs including; <br /> footing size and location,post/footing connection, size and species,joist size and <br /> spacing at landing, stringer support and attachment, guard attachment to deck <br /> structure, spacing of intermediate rails, handrail size and placement and ends <br /> returned, 1.5"max rise at landing where door swings out, 36"landing required at <br /> top and bottom of all stairways. See sheet 3, Stair and Landing Detail. <br /> 4. OK <br /> 5. Show location of all ventilation to take the reduction, specify net free ventilation per <br /> lineal foot of ridge vent. See sheet 1, Ventilation Notes, for venting calculations. See <br /> sheets 3 and 4, Elevations, for locations and sizes of continuous ridge vents. <br /> 6. The "approved application for Easement"was not included with the submittal. The <br /> "non conforming building certification"submitted allows the structure to be located <br /> with a 0 ft. setback, under the zoning code. The building code cannot allow a <br /> structure (projection) to extend over the property line. After site measurements taken <br /> on October 2, 2014, an error in previous dimensions was discovered. See sheet 0, Site <br /> Plan, for revised site plan showing building footprint to be 1'-0" from PL, complying <br /> with non-conforming building approval. <br />
