I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 1-09.7 Mobilization <br /> Supplement 1-09.7 by adding the following: I <br /> 1. Construction Identification Signs: Upon commencement of Work,the Contractor shall <br /> furnish and erect two Construction Identification Signs, one at each end of each work <br /> area, locations of the signs shall be approved by the Engineer. <br /> a. Sign painting, letter and detailing shall be done by a professional sign maker <br /> and approved by Engineer prior to placement on job site. <br /> b. The signs shall be made from three-quarter inch M.D.O. (Medium Density <br /> Overlay or Dura-ply) plywood and conform to the dimensions shown on the <br /> "Construction Identification Sign" detail on COE Standard Plan No. 712. Each <br /> of the two Construction Identification Signs shall have a "Project Information <br /> Sign" plan attached to the surface of the sign face in accordance with COE <br /> Standard Plan No. 713.The Construction Identification Sign shall contain three <br /> lines of information: <br /> PROJECT NAME: <br /> PROJECT FUNDING: <br /> PROJECT COST: <br /> c. The above information shall be provided by the Engineer. <br /> d. The Construction Identification Signs shall be erected on portable wood sign <br /> frames. Sign frames shall be constructed with treated 4"x 4"wooden posts, as <br /> shown on the "Construction identification Sign Stand" detail on COE Standard <br /> Plan No, 711. Signs and sign frames shall be maintained by the Contractor in <br /> a clearly legible condition throughout the progress of the Work and shall be <br /> completely removed upon completion of the project and delivered to the City's <br /> storage area for future use by the City. <br /> e. No separate payment for Construction Identification Signs will be made. All <br /> costs associated with this item shall be merged with the unit contract price for <br /> "Mobilization." <br /> 2. Engineer's Field Office: The Contractor shall provide an office for the use of the <br /> Engineer that may be in conjunction or attached to the Contractor's field office. <br /> Sanitary facilities shall be nearby. The location of the office shall be adjacent to the <br /> project and at a location acceptable to the Contractor and the Engineer. The office <br /> shall be equipped with a desk, layout table, chairs and telephone and suitable <br /> lighting, air conditioning and heating. A telephone shall be installed for the sole use <br /> of the Engineer. It shall be a separate unit with a different telephone number than the <br /> Contractor's phone. Mutually agreeable measures for the security of the office shall <br /> be arranged between the Contractor and Engineer. The Engineer's office shall be <br /> on-site, connected to all utilities and fully prepared for occupancy prior to release of <br /> the first warrant to the Contractor. <br /> a. All costs for the Engineer's office, including telephone service for local calls <br /> only, shall be borne by the Contractor and shall be included in the mobilization <br /> cost. <br /> 1-09.9 Payments <br /> Delete 1-09.9 and substitute the following: <br /> 1 <br /> Cleveland Avenue Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS November 2018 <br /> Sewer System Replacement and <br /> Storm Water Separation <br /> WO No. UP3398 SP -132 1 <br />
