I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> After Award of the Contract, the Contractor will receive up to six sets of the reduced <br /> Plans (11" x 17') and accompanying Special Provisions. In addition, the Owner will <br /> supply up to three sets of full size plans (22"x 34').All Plans and Special Provisions will <br /> be conformed with addenda unless Contractor requests otherwise. <br /> Additional Plans and Special Provisions may be purchased by payment of the current <br /> printing costs. <br /> The Contract Documents include Plans that show such details as are reasonably <br /> necessary to give a comprehensive understanding of the Work. The Contractor shall <br /> submit alterations affecting the requirements and information in the Plans in writing to <br /> the Engineer for approval prior to performing such Work. <br /> The Engineer may supplement the Plans with additional drawings and explanations, <br /> consistent with the purpose and intent of the original Plans, to detail and illustrate the <br /> Work. The Contractor shall perform the Work according to these supplemental drawings <br /> and explanations. <br /> 1 In addition to supplemental drawings furnished by the Engineer, the Contract Documents <br /> may also be supplemented by Type 1, Type 2 or 2E, and Type 3 or 3E Working Drawings <br /> prepared by the Contractor, material supplier, or manufacturer, when necessary or as <br /> required by the Contract Documents to detail and illustrate portions of the Work.All types <br /> of Working Drawings shall be reviewed by the Engineer before work pursuant to those <br /> Working Drawings is performed. Type 3 and 3E Working Drawings may include, and not <br /> be limited to, shop details, erection plans, masonry lay-out diagrams, reinforcing steel <br /> and bending diagrams, post tensioning plans, shoring, cribbing, cofferdam, or falsework <br /> plans, formwork plans, or hydraulic items.Type 2 and 2E Working Drawings may include, <br /> and not be limited to, Catalog cuts or standard plans for commonly used manufactured <br /> 1 items. <br /> The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of dimensions and details on <br /> Working Drawings, and for complete conformity with the Contract Documents, even if <br /> I the Working Drawings have been approved by the Engineer, or if the Contractor and the <br /> Engineer agree on dimensions and details. The City does not accept Working Drawings <br /> as accurate or adequate, and does not take responsibility for. or warrant that Working <br /> Drawings will meet Contract requirements. <br /> Engineer's review of Working Drawings shall not relieve Contractor from responsibility <br /> for variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents unless Contractor has in <br /> 1 writing called the Engineer's attention to each such variation at the time of submission, <br /> and the Engineer has given written approval of each such variation by a specific written <br /> notation thereof incorporated in or accompanying the returned Working Drawing; nor will <br /> review by Engineer relieve Contractor from responsibility for errors or omissions in the <br /> Working Drawings or from responsibility for having complied with the provisions of this <br /> section. <br /> The Bid prices shall include all costs for furnishing Working Drawings and Submittals. <br /> The following listed sections of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions <br /> require Working Drawings that may or may not be applicable to this specific project. This <br /> list is supplied as an aid to the Contractor and is by no means complete.
