(HWA)proposal
to the City of Everett(City) for installing four ground water piezometers around your
water reservoir No. 3 located at 6107 Berkshire Drive, Everett, Washington. Below, we
present our scope of work and project cost estimate.
We understand you plan to drain the 24 million gallon reservoir for maintenance and
need to know the ground water levels to avoid uplift of the membrane liner and/or
concrete bottom slab. HWA proposes to drill and install four ground water piezometers
around the reservoir, along the perimeter access road. The proposed scope of work
includes:
• Retain a licensed well drilling sub-contractor to drill and install the wells
• Coordinate with the City to schedule the field work
• Clear underground utilities before drilling by calling the Utilities Underground
Location Center, and checking utility plans provided by the City. HWA will not
be held liable for damage to utilities or other underground structures not defined
or located for HWA by the City or the Utilities Underground Location Center.
• Drill, install, and develop four ground water piezometers (monitoring wells), up to
35 feet depth. Alternately, and based on concurrence with the City, three wells to
46 feet depth may be installed, or some other combination of wells and depths
that meets the approved budget.
o Wells will be constructed of Schedule 80, 2-inch diameter PVC pipe
o Each well will have 10 feet of 0.010" mill slotted 2-inch diameter PVC screen
o Screened section will have a sand filter pack filling the
annulus 21312 30th Drive SE
Suite 110
Bothell,WA 98021-7010
Tel:425 774.0106
Fax:425.774.2714
www.hwageo.com
