» Provide assistance with travel logistics for Washington visits,including arranging local transportation and conference room facilities for Everett officials. » Participate in these meetings to provide support and guidance. » Assist with follow-up after the visit to ensure that the Everett meetings are productive and efforts on the City's behalf are sustained. In addition,we strongly believe in the importance of preparing the congressional members' schedulers and other key staff prior to the City's visit so the members are adequately prepared to discuss the City's projects and funding priorities. 16.Help draft letters and statements outlining the City's positions on key federal issues. Not only can Holland&Knight help you write letters and statements about your positions-we can make sure those efforts are noticed and have an impact. Holland&Knight will regularly provide relevant information to the City based on our research and from our sources within Democratic and Republican leadership,House and Senate committees,the White House,and federal agencies to gain behind-the-scenes insights on proposals,issues and funding opportunities for the City. We constantly monitor legislative and administrative action,and will notify the City of any relevant developments. Holland&Knight also will provide copies of bills,committee reports,federal agency rules,or other information that are of interest to the City. We will consistently meet with the City's congressional delegation,key congressional members,and agency leadership to ensure that they understand the City's priorities. 17.Draft legislative concepts,amendments and provisions to support the City's federal priorities. Holland&Knight will help draft legislative proposals,amendments,appropriation provisions,and committee report language. We can also help prepare compelling fact sheets to support the City's funding,legislative,and regulatory requests,as well as letters to House and Senate members and Administration officials,taking into account relevant committee factors and political pressure points. 18.Prepare communication strategies to ensure City positions,requests,and interaction with federal officials are timely,articulate,complete,and presented per accepted processes, procedures,protocols and practices. As previously mentioned,we will work closely with the Everett team to ensure that the City's interactions with Congress and the Administration consistently highlight the City as a solutions- oriented innovator. We have an excellent track record of success navigating the federal government and we will ensure that the City's engages strategically and professionally at the federal level.
