Kathryn Hazeem Lehman <br /> Partner <br /> "- Washington,D.C. <br /> T 202.419.2449 <br /> • <br /> kathryn.lehman@hklaw.com <br /> J /L <br /> Practices: Congressional Investigations I Federal Budget and Appropriations I Federal Practice <br /> Legislative Tax Practice I Public Policy&Regulation <br /> Kathryn Hazeem Lehman has almost 30 years of significant and wide-ranging experience <br /> navigating the halls of Washington,having worked closely with the White House,administrative <br /> agencies,House and Senate leadership and committees,political committees and other key agencies <br /> in government. <br /> Before entering private practice,Ms.Lehman served as chief of staff for the House Republican <br /> Conference.Her career began as counsel on the House Judiciary Committee Staff,where she served <br /> as counsel to Congressman F.James Sensenbrenner Jr.,and chief counsel for the Subcommittee on <br /> the Constitution under Chairman Henry J.Hyde(R-IL). <br /> She later served as special assistant to Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA),as policy director to House <br /> Majority Whip Tom DeLay(R-TX)and director of coalitions and outreach for Speaker J.Dennis <br /> Hastert(R-IL). <br /> In 2003,she assumed the top post under GOP Conference Chairman Deborah Pryce,managing the <br /> fourth-ranking leadership office in the House of Representatives.In this role,she was charged with <br /> crafting legislative and floor strategies for House Republicans while earning respect from members <br /> on both sides of the aisle. <br /> Since joining Holland&Knight in 2005,Ms.Lehman has continued to be active in working with <br /> members of the Republican leadership,their staffs,rank-and-file members as well as committee <br /> staffs.
