"Application factors" such as location, height, and re0ective surfaces are taken into
consideration to predict the sound level at a specific location.
The nearest receiving property is 3.5 feet north of lhe wireless facility. The predicted sound
level at the nearest receiving property is shown below.
Table 1
Application Factors and Predicted Noise Levels
Pro osed New E ui ment
Linc A Iication Factor North
1 Existin E ui ment Sound Pressure Level at 5(t. dBA . A
barrier should be coistructed around the equipmentvhich meets ihe following specifications.
Sound Barrier Fence
The required tence should be Gfeet high and constructed from conUnuously solid 'h" piywood or
other material with a surface weight of 2.5 pounds per square foot. Tlere should be no gaps or
joints in the fence. The inside of the fence should be lined with sound absorbing Quash rigid
foam board QFR 2"thick (avaiiable from Forrest Sound Products, (425) 646-9703).
This assembty will provide an additional 10 dBA reduction, bringing I:he noi;e level at the
nearest receiving property down ro the 45 dBA limit.
If you have any questions or require furiher in(ormation, please feel iree to call.
Sincerely,
SSA Acoustics, LLP
Alan Burt
ACOUSTICAL CONSULTANT
( '/
