CENTRAL UTILITY PLANT PARKING LOT Everett,Washington
Laboratory Compaction Testing
The maximum dry density(MDD)was estimated for the CBR composite soil sample by performing a
three-point modified proctor test. The test was completed in general accordance with the
ASTM D 1557 test procedure. The results of the laboratory compaction test are presented in
Figure B-2.
Corrosion Testing
Selected samples were obtained from one of the explorations to evaluate soil corrosivity in
accordance with the DIPRA(Ductile Iron Pipe Research Association) procedure. The results of the
tests are provided in Figure B-3. The test results are typically used to evaluate corrosivity to ductile
iron pipe, and the potential for corrosion may differ for thin-walled steel pipe. Based on the test
results, the soils have a low corrosion potential to ductile iron pipe.
Page B-2 October 17,2012 GeoEngineers,Inc.
File No.10738.010-00
