MAGNUSSON
KLEMENCIC
ASSOCIATES ■
OTHER POLLUTANT BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
At this time it is unknown what, if any, pollutants other than sediments may occur during construction.
The selected contractor shall address this item when updating this document.
MONITORING LOCATIONS
The project site stormwater flows discharge to the City of Everett combined sewer system. The selected
contractor shall coordinate requirements for monitoring, sampling and testing with the City of Everett.
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE AND PHASING
At this time the construction phasing is unknown. The selected contractor shall address this item when
updating this document.
TWELVE REQUIRED ELEMENTS
There are twelve elements that must be addressed in this CSWPPP. These twelve elements, documented
below, also identify BMPs that are applicable to the project. Elements that do not apply to this project
have been noted and in some cases information will not be available until such time that a contractor is
selected.
The selected contractor shall update this section of the CSWPPP as required based on the planned
construction schedule and sequencing. Modification may require addressing required elements that are
not addressed here and incorporation of additional BMPs.
BMPs referenced in this section are available in Volume II, Chapter 3 of the SWMM. Any additional
BMPs selected by the contractor for implementation shall be selected from those available in the
SWMM.
ELEMENT#1: MARK CLEARING LIMITS
The selected contractor shall update this section as required.
■ Prior to beginning land disturbing activities, including clearing and grading, clearly mark all clearing
and grading limits, and trees that are to be preserved within the construction area. These shall be
clearly marked, both in the field and on the plans, to prevent damage and offsite impacts.
■ Plastic, metal, or stake wire fence may be used to mark the clearing limits.
■ The duff layer, native top soil, and natural vegetation shall be retained in an undisturbed state to the
maximum extent practicable. If it is not practicable to retain the duff layer in place, it shall be
stockpiled on site, covered to prevent erosion, and replaced immediately upon completion of the
ground disturbing activities.
■ Applicable BMPs:
— BMP C101: Preserving Natural Vegetation
— BMP C103: High Visibility Plastic Fence.
Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
5
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, North Site, Everett, Washington
