To: Kelsey Heyd
Subject: RE: Plan Check No.: S1606-002, 3015 Everett Ave
Hi Kelsey,
OK, I will make sure the electronic sign meets the requirements below.
Once I have the specifications for it, I will forward them to you for review/confirmation.
I will let my landlord know that the existing sign will have to be mounted to the sign pole as shown.
Thank you
Brian Bodge
From: KHevd@everettwa.gov
To: brianbodge@'msn.com
Subject: RE: Plan Check No.: S1606-002, 3015 Everett Ave
Date: Mon, 29 Aug 2016 16:36:23+0000
Hi Brian,
The new conditions would be directly from our Code pertaining to electronic message signs (EMC 19.36.155):
C. Only those changing electronic message signs utilizing monochrome colors such as white, red or amber,
shall be permitted. No RGB (Red-Green-Blue)technologies or other multi-colored display shall be permitted in
an electronic message center sign in a manner that would create a video board as defined by Section 4.020.
This section does not prohibit the use of color in a sign that is not a video board.
D. Changing electronic message signs shall maintain a 2-1-2 transition frequency. "2-1-2" means a message
display time of a minimum of two seconds, a transition time between messages of a maximum of one second,
followed by a message display time of a minimum of two seconds with all segments of the total message to be
displayed within ten seconds. Displays which scroll onto the signboard must hold for a minimum of two
seconds including scrolling.
E. All messages displayed on a changing electronic message sign shall be directly related to the business for
which the sign was constructed. No off-premises signage is permitted.
G. Video boards shall be prohibited.
Kelsey
From: Brian Bodge [mailto:brianbodgeCamsn.com]
Sent: Friday, August 26, 2016 3:06 PM
To: Kelsey Heyd
Subject: RE: Plan Check No.: S1606-002, 3015 Everett Ave
Hi Kelsey,
See attached revised elevation view of the sign pole with the existing free standing sign shown installed on the
new pole and all sign area calculations.
/ 6/
