G) Documentation
Xerox and attach any information that illustrates and supports the property's
history and significance. This can include newspaper articles, oral history,
historic photos, maps and directory entries.
1927 Rucker Ave.
Information from Polk Directories. Note some years missing and other years they didn't print them. I
don't think they printed any after 1999. This starts on 1932 since that is first Polk with cross address
reference. There is little earlier since the name in 1932 was found in 1928-29, but the Shlessgers are
listed as living at 3331 Wetmore Ave in 1926-27. Also, there was no luck checking for the address in the
1900, 1910 and 1920 census. Perhaps checking the original owner will yield results.
1928-29 Paul F. and Mary Shlessger. He was a gardener. Also listed is Lillian, stenographer, presumably
their daughter.
1932 Paul S. and Mary Shlessger. He was a gardener. Also listed is John P., student, presumably their
son.
1933 Same as 1932, but no John.
1935 Same as 1935.
1937 Paul F. and Mary Shlessger
1939 John J. and Agnes Wenzlick. He was a laborer at Walton Lumber Co. in Lowell. (Paul F. and Mary
listed at 3008 Grand Ave. Also, Paul J. is listed as a millworker at Walton.)
1941 Same as 1939.
1944 Anthony J. (not John J.) and Agnes C. Wenzlick, both electricians at Everett Pacific Shipbuilding and
Dry Dock Company. Also listed Clifford J., student, presumably their son.
1947 Vacant. (Probably an error, since they're listed there in 1948.)
1948 John A. and Agnes C. Wenzlick. He is listed as a logger. This is confusing because there is John J.,
Anthony J. and John A. listed. It must be the same man. Clifford is also listed as student.
1950 Anthony J. (!) and Agnes Wenzlick. He is an electrician.
1952, 53, 54 Same as 1950
1955 Same except Anthony J. is a laborer. Clifford is not listed.
1956 Same
1957 Vacant
