It is essential to monitor,prevent, <br /> and inhibit corrosion on this critical Infrastructure. The City requires specialized technical services to <br /> evaluate our cathodic protection and coating systems. <br /> Northwest Corrosion Engineering, LLC is a consultant listed on the MRSC roster <br /> Public Works has selected Northwest Corrosion Engineering to provide the needed technical services. This <br /> agreement will allow the service provider to evaluate corrosion protection needs on the water transmission <br /> line#5 in and around the water filtration plant and complete design and the construction inspection of a <br /> cathodic protection system near the water filtration plant. The work will also include cathodic protection <br /> survey of transmission lines 2, 3, and 4, and provide on-call corrosion and coating evaluation services as <br /> needed. The cost of the service is not to exceed$102,201.00. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the mayor to sign the Professional Service Agreement with Northwest Corrosion Engineering for <br /> Cathodic Protection and Coating Evaluation Servical an amount not to exceed$102,201.00. <br />
