It is essential to monitor,prevent, and inhibit corrosion on this critical Infrastructure. The City requires specialized technical services to evaluate our cathodic protection and coating systems. Northwest Corrosion Engineering, LLC is a consultant listed on the MRSC roster Public Works has selected Northwest Corrosion Engineering to provide the needed technical services. This agreement will allow the service provider to evaluate corrosion protection needs on the water transmission line#5 in and around the water filtration plant and complete design and the construction inspection of a cathodic protection system near the water filtration plant. The work will also include cathodic protection survey of transmission lines 2, 3, and 4, and provide on-call corrosion and coating evaluation services as needed. The cost of the service is not to exceed$102,201.00. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the mayor to sign the Professional Service Agreement with Northwest Corrosion Engineering for Cathodic Protection and Coating Evaluation Servical an amount not to exceed$102,201.00.
