This flow rate
supersedes those required by IBC, IMC,and NFPA 30A.
The existing ventilation ducts supply air into the inspection pit. This purpose of this project is to connect the
existing ductwork to a new exhaust fan to provide adequate exhaust flow.
Demolition:
Remove ductwork connecting existing inspection pit ventilation ducts to the building supply air. Ceiling/roofing
penetration is required to install an approximately 2'square curb to mount the exhaust fan.
Construction:
Install new roof mounted exhaust fan and curb, then connect existing inspection pit ductwork to exhaust fan.
Code requirements:
1. 2015 IBC Table 307.1(1), hazardous material limits
Class Stored (gal.)
