11 ) . Adjusting System Super Heat: After the unit has
been fully charged & the sight glass is clear, let the unit
run for at least an hour. The initial suction line
temperature setting should be -25° to start. You will
notice that the suction line temperature will drop rapidly
as the unit is pulling temp. At some point after the unit is
running, you will notice that the suction line temperature
will stabilize (the rate at which the temperature is falling
will slow down drastically).
At the point, evaluate the super heat of the system.
In order to adjust the super heat of the system, you need
to adjust the Rail TXV. We want approximately 25
degrees of super heat at the condensing unit. Read the
pressure on your suction gauge and convert that
pressure to temperature using your pressure temperature
chart for 404A refrigerant. Compare the converted
temperature with you suction line LED temperature on
the unit (This is the bottom LED Display) . This is where you
want to see your LED display temperature 25degrees
warmer/ higher than the converted temperature. If it is
less than 25degrees than you need to close the Rail TXV
1/4 turn at a time until you see the temperature on the
LED Display rise to the desired 25degree superheat. If
the LED temperature is higher than the converted
temperature by 25 degrees, then open the rail TXV '/4
turn at a time until the 25 degree super heat is achieved.
