D. In the case of Library Day Laborer employees , the Library Board <br /> together with the Library Director shall establish the rate of pay, <br /> therefore, within the minimum of $2.20 per hour and maximum rate <br /> of $4.00 per hour based on the qualifications, experience, and <br /> background of each Day Laborer employee. <br /> Section 5: <br /> A. There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> schedule for full-time employees covered by the AFSCME labor <br /> contract under a three-step classification based on years of service <br /> as follows: <br /> After completion of 4 years, $ 25.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 8 years, $ 50.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 12 years , $ 75.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month additional. <br /> B. There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> schedule for full-time employees covered by the AFSCME labor contract <br /> under a five-step classification based on years of service as follows: <br /> After completion of 5 years, $ 25.00 per month additional• <br /> After completion of 8 years, $ 50.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 12 years, $ 75.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month additional. <br /> Section 6: <br /> Longevity pay shall not be paid to part-time employees, Day Laborers, <br /> or employees on the pay range prefaced by "P" , "E" , or "H" in Section 2 <br /> above. <br /> Section 7: <br /> There are hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance longevity and <br /> educational incentive plans for commissioned police officers. Such officers, <br /> upon becoming eligible, may choose to participate in either plan, however, <br /> in no case shall any officer be eligible to participate concurrently in both plans. <br /> The following shall be the longevity schedule, based upon years of service, <br /> the amount of which shall be added to and considered a part of, base pay: <br /> After completion of 4 years, $ 25.00 per month. <br /> After completion of 8 years, $ 50.00 per month. <br /> After completion of 12 years, $ 75.00 per month. <br /> After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month. <br /> The following shall be the educational incentive plan schedule, based upon <br /> receipt of approved college credits. There shall be a joint Everett Police <br /> Officers Association and City Administration Committee established which shall <br /> determine the appropriateness of areas of study for which the incentive pay <br /> may be granted. Such pay may not be received during the initial 9-month <br /> probationary period. <br />
