March 13, 2019 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy stated the second meeting of the Lodging Tax <br /> Advisory Committee is scheduled for tomorrow at noon in the council <br /> chambers. <br /> Vice President Tuohy thanked the Mayor for attending the Pets on Parade <br /> exhibit, which runs through April 13, 2019. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher reported on her attendance at the Port <br /> Gardner Neighborhood Association meeting on Monday evening. She also <br /> stated she attended a meeting on Tuesday of the Parks Board of <br /> Commissioners and Tree Committee. Council Member Stonecipher <br /> provided a recap of the Council Public Safety Subcommittee meeting, which <br /> occurred earlier this evening. <br /> President Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the monthly <br /> Snohomish Health District Board meeting. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> At the invitation of Chief of Staff Lyle Ryan, Paul Kaftanski, Administration, <br /> provided an update on alley and street vacations. <br /> Considerable discussion ensued relating to areas where alley vacations <br /> have or are likely to occur, use of funds for traffic mitigation dollars, focus <br /> on safe sidewalks for students, and the development of a policy for <br /> disbursing funds. <br /> Mr. Kaftanski asked for confirmation that he bring back a street vacation <br /> ordinance for the Riverview apartment project, as well as policy options for <br /> the use of funds. <br /> President Bader stated this was his understanding; however, he requested <br /> that Mr. Kaftanski also contact Council Members Roberts and Vogeli. <br /> 75 <br />
