The project is needed to address surface and basement flooding and capacity issues within the existing combined sewer system. The new storm drain network will convey stormwater flow to detention ponds on the Legion Memorial Golf Course (completed Phase 1 Project):The Alversori projectwilll expand-the area to be separated:Tliportion was installed under Phase 2,the North Wetmore Stormwater Separation project,which is nearing completion. The budget for the project is$1,750,000 which includes the construction contract of$1.46 million and a 20% construction contingency from Fund 401, Water and Sewer Utility Fund. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled"Alverson Stormwater Separation Project"Fund 336,Program 001,to accumulate all costs for the improvement. 33
