1• <br /> • :f' DEPARTMENT OF C17 <br /> ECOLOGY <br /> Wig State of Washington 1^,.., <br /> Agreement No. AQTRNBUS-1719-COE-00005 <br /> AIR QUALITY TRANSIT BUS REPLACEMENT AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN 7 <br /> THE STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY <br /> AND <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> This is a binding Agreement entered into by and between the state of Washington,Department of Ecology, <br /> hereinafter referred to as"ECOLOGY,"and City of Everett,hereinafter referred to as the"RECIPIENT,"to carry out <br /> with the provided funds activities described herein. <br /> GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> Project Title: Transit Bus Replacement <br /> Total Cost: $3,300,000.00 <br /> Total Eligible Cost: $1,500,000.00 <br /> Ecology Share: $1,500,000.00 <br /> Recipient Share: $0.00 <br /> The Effective Date of this Agreement is: 05/01/2018 <br /> The Expiration Date of this Agreement is no later than: 06/30/2022 <br /> Project Type: Clean Diesel Grant Program <br /> Project Short Description: <br /> Replace older diesel buses with electric buses. <br /> Project Long Description: <br /> Everett Transit(ET)is a municipally owned transit agency in Washington State,operating 11 fixed routes and <br /> complementary Para Transit services throughout the city limits with select services to Boeing and the City of <br /> Mukilteo.The fleet consists of 42 fixed route buses with a standard fleet size of 35'and 40'coaches.A fleet of <br /> 28 paratransit vehicles operate in house for complementary ADA paratransit services.In 2017,Everett Transit <br /> had a recorded ridership of over 1.9 million. <br /> Everett Transit is replacing an aging diesel bus fleet with electric buses. By the year 2022,the agency's fixed <br /> route fleet will be 50%electric. The first four electric buses will be in service by the end of 2018 and will be <br /> placed on the agency's highest capacity route,Route 7. With over one million riders per year,this route serves <br /> the City of Everett's most vulnerable populations and highly impacted(air quality)communities. <br />
