Please coordinate <br /> your project's milestones with the time line on page 7 of this package.Please also show any other funding received or requested for your project. <br /> In 2017,the DEA&Fizz Events goal was to rebrand the Everett Craft Beer Festival and offer attendees a bigger festival that not only focused on <br /> craft beer from around the state but also great street food from local restaurateurs and fun,engaging live music from up and coming local Everett <br /> artists.With the help of both the Downtown Everett Association and EMI,the Upper Left Beerfest accomplished those goals in 2017 and expanded <br /> the popularity of the event in 2018 with minor date switches to a Friday/Saturday event.In 2019—Our goal at the Upper Left Beerfest is to continue <br /> expanding this popular event and continue to grow this festival larger including additional craft beer,local wine and local cider from around the NW. <br /> Along with craft beverages,entertainment and local food will be additional focuses of the event,creating a tasting festival of both local beverages and <br /> local food via restaurants and area food trucks while providing fun,engaging entertainment.Our goal is to continue bring the states best craft beer to <br /> the city of Everett and to the general public in and around the city.Funds gained from this will also go to support the local non-profit that is engaged <br /> from the city to enhance lives within the city and help fund local initiatives.The Upper Left Beerfest has attracted 2500-3000 people annually to the <br /> downtown Everett core.With the funds provided,we will have additional advertising dollars for the event,which will be spent on attracting potential <br /> event attendees from all over the county as well as potential attendees from Bellingham down to Olympia and east through the Snohomish valley.Our <br /> focus in 2019 is to work more closely with the breweries from outside of Everett that have a following.Work with them to promote the festival as one <br /> they will be attending,inviting their followers to attend as well.Last year we implemented a discounted hard ticket sales initiative within breweries in <br /> Everett.This year,that will be expanded to out of the area breweries to grow sales to out of town guests.With the changes from a craft beer only <br /> event to more of a local craft beverages(featuring craft beer,wine and cider)and local food festival,we will continue marketing the event to a larger, <br /> more wide ranging,audience.Those attendees will also be more likely to stay overnight with the option to either come back to the event the next day <br /> or explore Everett.These funds will also be used to create a compelling advertising plan that markets additional activities in Everett,including <br /> restaurants,hotels,and activities in the Everett area.The funds will help re-establish the event as a long lasting annual festival for the city. <br /> Advertising will start immediately for the event with the main focus of promotion taking place 90 days before and leading up to the event in early <br /> September.We will measure success based on event attendees and seeing the event grow from previous years. <br /> We will again work with the Downtown Everett Association as a partner of this event to engage businesses in attending the event as a company <br /> function.Friday night advertising will focus on promotion to these companies as a fun,company outing and Friday night team building happy hour <br /> option that isn't the normal run of the mill activity.We also feel some companies will become a partner of the event by offering a multi-day event with <br /> enhanced promotional opportunities through print,online,social and radio options. <br /> In 2018-Partnering with Toggles Bottleshop at a partial expense to the beer festival-We helped launch Everett Craft Beer Week.Upper Left <br /> Beerfest was the kick-off event and cornerstone of the week in which area bottleshops and breweries had fun,public engaging events at their <br /> breweries ranging from unique beers,bike rides,fun runs and more.We helped promote this to our followers,email database(over 45,000 unique <br /> emails in the pacific northwest),online and through social media.We invited guests to come for the beer festival and stick around overnight to attend <br /> brewery functions on Sunday.We were also successful in bringing out of town breweries to Everett to work with Everett breweries on collaboration <br /> beers and promotions to the public. <br /> With these funds,we will be able to expand our marketing reach further than the Everett area.We will be able to work more closely with out of area <br /> breweries,thus capturing some of their market to attend as well.These funds have been vital in the growth and success of the event in the past. <br /> 1 <br /> ) <br /> { <br /> 4n- <br /> 4 <br />
