I <br /> Existing Conditions: This section summarizes the "existing demographic and economic conditions" for <br /> the Everett Planning Area. <br /> 1. Demographics: Who Lives In Everett? Demographic data for the Planning Area is based <br /> upon the 1990 US Census figures and is broken down by Planning sub-areas. The highlights are <br /> summarized herein. <br /> a. Population: There were 104,456 persons living within the Everett Planning Area in <br /> 1990. The most heavily populated sub-areas were #5 (South Point) with 26,947, #1 <br /> (North End)with 26,431, and #2 (Central) with 22,636, followed by #6 (Silver Lake) with <br /> 17,928, #4 (Paine - Stickney) with 6,947, and #3 (Southwest), with 3,567. (See map of <br /> Everett Planning Area.) <br /> b. Ethnic Origin: The Everett Planning Area population is predominantly white (92.3%), <br /> I <br /> with all sub-areas at or above 92%, except sub-area 5 (South Point), which has an 89.2% <br /> white population. The next highest ethnic category is Asian at 3.7%, followed by African- <br /> American at 1.6%, American Indian at 1.4%, and "other" at 0.9%. The median age for all of Snohomish <br /> County was 32.2.
