The measurement and payment limits for measuring the width of this bid item shall not exceed the saw-cut limits shown on the Drawings. No deduction will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other component of the mixture. The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, and perform density tests on multiple lifts of HMA — CL 1/2" PG 64-22 pavement in trench patches, and shall also include removal and disposal of existing asphalt and base materials within the area to be patched. Also included in this item is any adjustment of existing catch basin grates, valve boxes, junction boxes, or any other street iron encountered in the patch area. Crushed surfacing will be measured and paid separately. Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat, joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is to be included in this bid item with no direct compensation made. All costs for "Anti Stripping 1 Additive" and "Compaction Adjustment" shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of the HMA with no direct compensation made. Bid Item 24 - Temporary Asphalt Sidewalk and Curb Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard Measurement for Temporary Asphalt Sidewalk and Curb shall be by the square yard, as delineated by the contractor and approved by the Inspector. Measurement shall be for HMA placed in areas shown on the Plans as replacement of sidewalk and curb areas, or as directed by the Inspector, in accordance with the Standard Specifications and Section 5-04 of these Special Provisions. The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, roll and perform any hand work necessary to meet contract requirements, and shall also include removal and disposal of all existing sidewalk, curb, and pavement within the construction limits of this item. All costs for"Anti Stripping Additive" and "Compaction Adjustment" shall be included in the unit contract price with no direct compensation made. Bid Item 25 - Concrete Sidewalk Restoration Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard. Measurement shall be per square yard as delineated by the Contractor and approved by the Inspector prior to removal. The unit price per square yard for restoration of existing concrete sidewalks shall be full compensation for all materials, tools, labor and equipment necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Plans, COE Standard Drawings, Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. Removal and disposal of existing sidewalk and base materials is also included in this item. Crushed surfacing top course placed under sidewalk is incidental to the sidewalk restoration item. ' Bid Item 26 - Concrete Driveway Restoration Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard. Measurement shall be per square yard as delineated by the Contractor and approved by the Inspector prior to removal.
