Provide 1/2-inch premolded filler in lieu of 3/8-inch premolded filler for through- expansion. Provide through expansion joint at maximum 30-foot intervals. Provide through expansion joint at each end of driveway. Compact the subbase for curb and gutter sections to 95-percent maximum density at optimum moisture content before placing the curb and gutter. The top surface of the finished concrete shall not deviate more than 1/8-inch as measured using a 10-foot straight edge.
