I am trying to work on this case todnd went to Planning to look at the permits gain. I really do need the help of <br /> you and Steve to make sure I understand the Permits and the Record. <br /> • It looks like there is a permit from 1967 for re-roofing that describes a residence and a garage. <br /> • On 2/20/1990,the Building Official Tim Tyler conducted an inspection of the garage and produced an Inspection <br /> Report.The garage had been converted to living space without required permits and approvals.Code <br /> Compliance must have been investigating the property and Code Compliance Officer Linda Gough participated in <br /> the inspection.A sketch showing the layout and ceiling height was produced. <br /> • Ms. Gough sent a letter to the owner, Don Fletcher,on 3/29/1990—indicating Building Permits were needed to <br /> bring the structure into compliance. <br /> • Mr. Fletcher responded by letter on 4/13/1990, indicating they no longer intend to rent the unit (garage). <br /> A review of the Snohomish County Old Assessor Records provides: <br /> • a photo of the house and garage before the unpermitted alterations. <br /> • They indicate an inspection on 4/20/1987 noted a bedroom had been added over the garage <br /> • They indicate the current owner, Mr. Carson, purchased the property in March 1993 <br /> I have attached a pdf showing the structures as they appeared before and after alteration. <br /> Thanks! <br /> Don <br /> From: Donald Cunningham <br /> Sent: Tuesday, May 03, 2016 8:11 AM <br /> To: Ted Budden <br /> Subject: FW: 4223 S 3rd Ave <br /> Here is a photo showing both structures. <br />
