Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br /> (2009 International Building Code,) (2009 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2009 Edition, and adopted by the <br /> City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Show all exhaust fans on plans. Specify size and location of whole house fan. <br /> 2. Provide 110 volt smoke alarms per Section R314 International Residential Code (IRC). <br /> Show on plans. <br /> 3. Provide carbon monoxide alarm per Section R315 (IRC). <br /> 4. Dwelling units in two-family dwellings shall be separated from each other by wall and/or <br /> floor assemblies having not less than 1-hour fire-resistive rating when tested in <br /> accordance with ASTM E 119 or UL 263. Fire-resistance-rated floor-ceiling and wall <br /> assemblies shall extend to and be tight against the exterior wall, and wall assemblies <br /> shall extend from the foundation to the underside of the roof sheathing. <br /> 5. Supporting construction per R302.3.1 —when floor assemblies are required to be fire- <br /> resistance rated by Section R302.3 —the supporting construction of such assemblies <br /> shall have an equal or greater fire-resistance rating.
