plans. Provide detail for each different assembly, interior bearing rated wall, exterior <br /> bearing wall, interior wall separating common area (utility, main floor). <br /> 6. Penetrations of wall or floor/ceiling assemblies required to be fire-resistance rated in <br /> accordance with Section R302.2 or R302.3 shall be protected in accordance with Section <br /> R302.4 IRC. <br /> 7. Handrails shall be provided on at least one side of each continuous run of treads or <br /> flight with four or more risers. Per R311.7.7 IRC show handrails on plans and show <br /> height, grip size, and continuity. <br /> 8. Guards shall not have openings from the walking surface to the required guard height <br /> which allow the passage of a sphere 4"in diameter. (Openings shall be less than 4"). <br /> 9. Specify minimum 36"guard at stairs in living room on second floor. Provide section <br /> and/or details to show how guard is capable of resisting loads specified in Table R301.5 <br /> IRC. <br /> 10. Specify tempered safety glass in hazardous locations as defined in Section R308 IRC. <br /> Show on plans. <br /> 11. Projections that extend into the 5'0"side-yard setback shall be protected on the <br /> underside with 1-hour fire-resistance construction. Provide detail of projections in <br /> setback. <br /> 12. Walls less than 5 feet from the property line shall be 1-hour fire-resistance rated in <br /> accordance with ASTM E 119 or UL 263 with exposure from both sides per Table R302.1 <br /> as amended by Washington State. <br /> 13. Where a door swings over a landing, the landing shall be not more than 11/2"below the <br /> finished floor. <br /> 14. In dwelling unites where the opening of an operable window is located more than 72 <br /> inches above the finished grade or surface below, the lowest part of the clear opening of <br /> the window shall be a minimum of 24 inches above the finished floor of the room in <br /> which the window is located. Operable sections of windows shall not permit openings <br /> that allow the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere where such openings are located <br /> within 24 inches of the finished floor, per R612.2 IRC. Also see Sections: "R612.3 <br /> Window Fall Prevention Devices"and "R612.4.2 Operation for Emergency Escape." <br /> 15.Trace all gravity loads to the foundation. Show point loads. Show multiple studs or <br /> posts supporting point loads. <br /> 16. Provide gravity calculations for new beams and roof structure.
