• <br /> SECTION 104410 <br /> FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AND CABINETS <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> A. Section Includes: <br /> 1. Semi-recessed mounted fire extinguisher cabinets with fire extinguishers <br /> 2. Fire extinguisher signs. <br /> 1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's technical data and installation instructions, <br /> including cabinet types,trim style, door construction,rough-in dimensions,mounting <br /> heights, etc. <br /> B. Contract Closeout Submittal: At time of Project Closeout, submit maintenance data for <br /> fire extinguishers. <br /> C. Installer Certificate: Certify compliance with NFPA 10, Table 5.2.1 for size and <br /> placement of respective fire extinguishers. <br /> 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Fire-Rated Fire-Protection Cabinets Rating: Provide recessed fire extinguisher cabinets <br /> with same hourly rating as wall; listed and labeled to comply with requirements of <br /> ASTM E 814 for fire-resistance rating of walls where they are installed. Provide portable <br /> fire extinguishers which are UL listed and bear UL "Listing Mark" for type,rating, and <br /> classification of extinguisher indicated. <br /> B.. Service Tags: Provide each fire extinguisher with an identification tag indicating the <br /> month and year installed,year hydraulic tested, location of extinguisher, City <br /> Certification number, and space for inspector's initials. <br /> 1.4 COORDINATION <br /> A. Coordinate size of fire-protection cabinets to ensure that type and capacity of fire <br /> extinguishers indicated are accommodated. <br /> B. Coordinate rough opening for recessed fire extinguisher cabinets with Section 092116. <br /> PART 2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 FIRE EXTINGUISHER CABINETS <br /> A. Construction: Manufacturer's standard steel box,trim frame, door, and hardware to suit <br /> cabinet type,trim style, and door style indicated. <br /> B.
