1. Recessed and fireproof: Same as recessed type, except cabinet to be U.L. or <br /> Warnock-Hersey listed for 1-hour fire-rated wall or 2-hour fire-rated wall <br /> installation. <br /> 2. Finish-exposed trim and door: Factory primed for field painting. <br /> 3. Other surfaces: Manfacturer's standard white baked-on enamel or powder coat. <br /> C. Door and Trim: Manufacturer's standard door construction, flush(solid)door,recessed <br /> pull and cylinder lock keyed to facility master, and continuous hinge permitting door to <br /> open 180 degrees. <br /> D. Lettering Identification: The words "FIRE EXTINGUISHER" located vertically in red <br /> color. <br /> 2.2 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS <br /> A. Fire Extinguisher: Provide red glossy polyester coated steel cylinder with pressure <br /> gauge. Provide one(1)fire extinguisher for each cabinet provided. Fire extinguishers <br /> shall be CFC and HCFC free of the following types. <br /> 1. Ground Floor: Larsen's Manufacturing Co. "MP-5A",or approved equal 6 <br /> pound capacity,multi-purpose dry chemical extinguisher with UL rating 3A- <br /> 40B:C or higher. <br /> 2. First Floor: Larsen's Manufacturing Co. "MP-5", or approved equal 6 pound <br /> capacity,multi-purpose dry chemical extinguisher with UL rating 2A-10B:C or <br /> higher. <br /> 2.3 ACCESSORIES <br /> A. Fire Extinguisher Identification Signs (Where Extinguisher is Obscured From View— <br /> large rooms,parking garages, etc.,or as required by the local Fire Marshall): Provide <br /> metal signs at each fire extinguisher to identify location. Mount signs on ceiling with <br /> message reading in both directions, at ceiling level, directly above extinguisher or <br /> extinguisher cabinet. Provide double faced, flanged, aluminum, 12 inches high by 4 <br /> inches wide,with fire extinguisher symbol, arrow, and red with white letters reading <br /> "FIRE EXTINGUISHER", or other acceptable identify means approved by Architect. <br /> 1. Base Metal: Aluminum,manufacture's standard gage. <br /> 2. Finish: Clear anodized. <br /> PART 3 -EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install cabinets in locations and at mounting heights as indicated and to comply with <br /> applicable regulations of governing authorities. <br /> 1.
