This letter addresses comments from SR. Surface
Water Engineer (Erik Emerson) which were provided via email. I have tried to format this letter
to match the comment letter for easier understanding.
1) The plans and report have been revised to comply with the most current version of the City
of Everett's Stowmwater Management Manual and Design and Development Standards.
2) Section 6 of the report has been revised to correctly cite list #2 in the SWMM volume 1
section 2.5.6.
3) The plans and report have been revised to comply with section 4-4-4 of the DCSS. This was
accomplished by revising the driveway design. The total impervious surface area proposed
by this project is now shown to be less than 5,000 square feet. The project also proposes to
convert less than % of an acre to lawn, 2.5 acres to pasture, and the 100-year flow
difference is shown to be less than a 0.15 cfs difference..
4) The plans have been revised to show that the HDPE pipe will pass through only one parcel
(tract 999) adjacent to the property. Per an email from you (Erik Emerson) on 8/16/17, the
easement does not need to be obtained before the pipe is installed, but will be made a
condition of final approval.
5) The plans have been revised to show the diffuser tee and rock pad located together beyond
the base of the steep slope. A detail has been added to show the profile of the pipe, grade,
and creek.
6) The pipe will be worked around any existing trees, therefore no clearing will take place.
Since no clearing will be taking place, no erosion measure are proposed for this area.
7) The contradictions have been corrected. The plans now show a 6" HDPE pipe with a fused
connection.
8) The plans have been revised to clarify that the pipe shall be continuously fused, and
specified that the pipe shall be HDPE DR 11 pipe.,
9) The detail has been revised to show the rip rap extending under the entire tee and on foot
above the fused connection. The pad will extend 3 feet downhill from the tee.
Thank you for taking the time to review the revised plans and report for this project.
