Section 7. Reference to specific ordinances. The provisions of this 1 code shall not in any manner affect matters of record which refere to, or are 2 otherwise connected with ordinances which are therein specifically designated by number or otherwise and which are included within the code, but such reference shall 3 be construed to apply to the corresponding provisions contained within this code. 4 Section 8. Effect of code on past actions and obligations. Neither the adoption of this code nor the repeal or amendment hereby of any ordinance or 5 part or portion of any ordinance of the City of Everett shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances , which violations were 6 committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as a waiver 7 ! of any license, fee, or penalty at said effective date due and unpaid under such ordinances, nor be construed as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance: 8 relating to the collection of any such license, fee, or penalty, or the penal pro- visions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to affect the validity of any bond 9 lor cash deposit in lieu thereof, required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordinance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining shall 10 continue in full force and effect. 11 ! Section 9. Effective date. This code shall become effective on the date 12 ')the ordinance adopting this code as the "Everett Municipal Code" shall become 1 effective. 13 1 Section 10. Constitutionality. If any section, subsection, sentence, 14 clause or phrase of this code is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, 'such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this 15 code. The council hereby declares that it would have passed this code, and 16 each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or 17 phrases had been declared invalid or unconstitutional, and if for any reason this code should be declared invalid or unconstitutional, then the original 18 ordinance or ordinances shall be in full force and effect. 19 Section 11. Cost Each set of the Everett Municipal Code may be 20 urchased from the City Clerk for $ 70.00 per set (Vol. 1 & Vol. 2) . 21 22 OW- (0.....
