• <br /> • <br /> "The water service pipe may be placed in the same trench <br /> with such building drain and building sewer provided both of <br /> the following conditions are met: <br /> " (1) The bottom of the water service pipe , at <br /> all points, shall be at least twelve (12) inches above the <br /> top of the sewer line. <br /> " (2) The water service pipe shall be placed <br /> on a solid shelf excavated at one side of the common trench. <br /> " (c) Water piping installed within a building and <br /> in or under a concrete floor slab resting on the ground <br /> shall be installed in accordance with the following requirements . <br /> " (1) Metallic piping shall have a protective <br /> coating of an approved type, machine applied and conforming <br /> to recognized standards. Field wrapping shall provide <br /> equivalent protection and is restricted to those short <br /> sections and fittings necessarily stripped for threading. <br /> Zinc coating (galvanizing) shall not be deemed adequate <br /> protection for piping for fittings. <br /> " (2) Copper tubing shall be installed with- <br /> out joints where possible. Where joints are permitted, they <br /> shall be brazed and fittings shall be wrought copper. <br /> " (d) Inspection. No water supply system or portion <br /> thereof, shall be covered or concealed until it first has <br /> been tested, inspected and approved. <br /> " (e) Testing. Before such approval, both hot and <br /> cold water piping shall be subjected to a full working water <br /> pressure test from the street main or other source of <br /> supply, or to an air pressure of not less than fifty (50) <br /> pounds per square inch for not less than fifteen (15) minutes. <br /> Piping must not leak when subjected to such test. <br /> Section 29 <br /> That Chapter 11, Section 1102 through Section 1119 <br /> inclusive and Table 11-1, 11-2 , 11-3 and Chapters 12 and <br /> 13 of the Uniform Plumbing Code herein adopted, is hereby <br /> deleted. <br /> Section 30 <br /> That Appendix C, of the Uniform Plumbing Code herein <br /> adopted is hereby amended to read as follows : <br />
