• <br /> Section 19 : <br /> That Chapter 1; Section 117 , paragraph (f) of the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code herein adopted; is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: "Plumbing System: The plumbing system <br /> means and includes all potable water supply and distribution <br /> pipes , all plumbing fixtures and traps, all drainage and <br /> vent pipe and all building drains, including their respective <br /> joints and connections , devices , receptacles and appurtenances <br /> within the property lines of the premises and shall include <br /> potable water piping and potable water treating or using <br /> equipment. " <br /> Section 20: <br /> That Chapter 2 , Section 203 of the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code herein adopted, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 203 - Use of Copper Tubing: <br /> " (a) Copper tube for underground drainage and vent <br /> piping shall have a weight of not less than that of copper <br /> water tube Type L. <br /> " (b) Copper tube for above ground drainage and <br /> vent piping shall have a weight of not less than that of <br /> copper drainage tube Type D.W.V. <br /> " (c) Copper tube shall not be used for chemical or <br /> industrial wastes as defined in Section 612 of this code. <br /> " (d) Copper tube for water piping shall have a <br /> weight of not less than that of copper water tube Type L. <br /> EXCEPTION : Type M. copper tubing may be used for water <br /> piping when piping is above ground in a building. <br /> " (e) In addition to the required incised marking, <br /> all hard drawn copper tubing shall be marked by means of a <br /> continuous and indelibly colored stripe at least one quarter <br /> (1/4) inch in width as follows: Type K, green; Type L, <br /> blue; Type M, red; Type DWV, yellow. " <br /> Section 21: <br /> That Chapter 3 , Section 310 of the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code herein adopted, is hereby amended by adding a new <br /> paragraph (h) . <br /> " (h) Sillcocks (hosebibbs) shall not be installed <br /> in or over any outside access to underfloor crawl space, <br /> well, or over stairwells to basement areas. A sillcock <br /> (hosebibb) shall not be installed in a manner that is not <br /> properly secured and readily removable. " <br /> Section 22: <br /> That Chapter 4 , Section 401, paragraph (a) of the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code herein adopted, is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "Section 401 - Materials: <br /> " (a) Drainage pipe shall be cast iron, galvanized <br /> steel, galvanized wrought iron, lead, copper, brass , ABS, <br /> PVC or other approved materials having a smooth and uniform <br /> bore, except: (1) That no galvanized wrought iron or galvanized <br /> steel pipe shall be used underground and shall be kept at <br /> least six (6) inches above ground. (2) ABS or PVC instal- <br /> lations limited to H, I. , and J occupancies up to 30-feet in <br />
