• <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 <br /> AN ORDINANCE regulating sewage disposal sys- <br /> 4 tems and specifying permits For such systems <br /> and repealing Sections 1 to 14 of Ordinance <br /> 5 No. 3192 (E .C.C. Chapter 10 . 56) <br /> 6 <br /> 7 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 8 Section 1. General Regulations . <br /> 9 Notwithstanding provisions to the contrary, permits author- <br /> 10 ized by this ordinance shall be issued on the following <br /> conditions : <br /> 11 <br /> (a) The City Engineer certifying that the premise is not <br /> 12 required to be connected to the public sewers as speci- <br /> fied in the City Code of the City of Everett. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 (b) When a public sewer becomes available, the permit <br /> holder is authorized to maintain the sewage disposal <br /> system authorized herein for a period not to exceed two <br /> 15 (2) years, if the maintenance of the sewage disposal <br /> 16 system is not in conflict with the provision herein or <br /> the other ordinances of the City of Everett. <br /> 17 <br /> (c) Sewage disposal system is authorized on any building <br /> 18 lot of the City of Everett as long as no public sewer is <br /> available and construction design standards are complied <br /> 19 with and satisfactory evidence is furnished that said pro- <br /> perty percolates. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Section 2. Permit-- Certificate of Competency--. <br /> Approval requirements <br /> 22 It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation <br /> to: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 (a) Construct, install or alter a sewage disposal system <br /> unless a permit has been issued therefor by the Snohomish <br /> Health District health authority having jurisdiction over <br /> 25 the matter; or <br /> 26 (b) To design, construct, install or alter a sewage dis- <br /> posal system unless in possession of such current, valid <br /> 27 certificate of competency as is required by the Snohomish <br /> Health District; or <br /> 28 <br /> 29 (c) To cause or permit sewage to be carried through such <br /> sewage disposal system until final approval for use of <br /> such system has been granted by the Snohomish Health <br /> 30 District. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
